While the Moon Still Shining - Limited Edition
The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite.
Despite appearing to be the brightest object in the sky after the Sun, its surface is actually very dark, with a reflectivity similar to that of coal.
The Moon rotates on its axis in approximately 27.32 days (sidereal month) and revolves around the Earth in the same time interval, advancing about 12° across the sky each day. This synchronicity means that it always shows the same face to the planet.
While the Moon Still Shining is composed of 30 images that rotate 12° every 0.1 seconds, resulting in a constantly moving beam of light that sometimes seems to blend into the background, disappearing only to reappear.
This was the first GIF ever sold in Portugal in an artistic context.
