Refund policy

At ArtsBouquet, we want every acquisition to be made with confidence. Each artwork is carefully selected and presented with detailed information regarding its artist, medium, dimensions, condition, and authenticity.

We understand, however, that acquiring art online is a personal decision and that an artwork may feel different once experienced in its intended space. For this reason, you may return eligible artworks in accordance with the conditions below.

14-Day Return Period

Unless otherwise stated on the artwork page, you may request the return of an eligible artwork within 14 calendar days of delivery.

To initiate a return, please contact ArtsBouquet within these 14 days and provide your order number and the title of the artwork.

The artwork must not be returned before receiving return instructions from ArtsBouquet.

Return Conditions

To qualify for a return, the artwork must:

  • be in the same condition in which it was received;

  • not have been altered, damaged, restored, reframed or modified;

  • include all accompanying documentation, including the Certificate of Authenticity where applicable;

  • include any accessories, components or materials supplied with the artwork; and

  • be repacked securely using the original packaging whenever possible.

We strongly recommend keeping all original packaging until you are certain that you wish to retain the artwork.

ArtsBouquet reserves the right to refuse a return or reduce the amount refunded if an artwork is returned damaged, incomplete, altered, or without its accompanying documentation.

Return Shipping

Please contact ArtsBouquet before arranging any return shipment.

Because artworks require specialist handling, ArtsBouquet will provide or coordinate the appropriate return instructions according to the artwork, its dimensions and its location.

Unless the artwork arrived damaged, was materially different from its description, or ArtsBouquet agrees otherwise in writing, return shipping, packaging, insurance, customs charges, and any other costs associated with the return are the responsibility of the buyer.

Returned artworks must be adequately insured for their full purchase value during transit.

ArtsBouquet cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from a return shipment arranged independently by the buyer contrary to our return instructions.

Damaged Artwork

Every artwork is carefully prepared and packaged for transportation.

If an artwork arrives damaged, please contact ArtsBouquet within 48 hours of delivery and retain all original packaging.

Please provide:

  • photographs of the artwork and the damage;

  • photographs of the external and internal packaging;

  • photographs of any visible damage to the shipping container; and

  • your order number and delivery information.

Please do not discard the packaging or arrange a return shipment until ArtsBouquet has provided instructions.

We will work with you and the relevant carrier or insurer to determine the appropriate solution, which may include return, restoration where appropriate, replacement in the case of an edition, or a full refund.

Artwork Not as Described

If the artwork received is materially different from the artwork described or shown on the ArtsBouquet website, please contact us as soon as possible.

If ArtsBouquet confirms that the artwork materially differs from its description, we will arrange the return and cover the reasonable associated return costs.

Original Artworks

Original artworks are generally eligible for our 14-day return period unless the artwork page expressly states otherwise or the work falls within one of the exclusions described below.

Because original artworks are unique, availability cannot be guaranteed once a returned artwork has been refunded.

Limited Editions

Limited-edition artworks may be returned within the applicable return period provided that the artwork, edition numbering, signature, Certificate of Authenticity and any accompanying documentation are returned intact and in their original condition.

Any damage or alteration affecting the artwork, numbering, signature or documentation may make the work ineligible for return.

Sculptures

Sculptures may be returned under the same general conditions as other eligible artworks.

Because sculptures can require specialist packaging, handling and transportation, please contact ArtsBouquet before arranging any return. ArtsBouquet will provide appropriate instructions according to the work concerned.

Framed Artworks

Where framing forms part of the artwork as sold and is included in the purchase price, the complete framed artwork must be returned in its original condition.

If framing, mounting or another customization has been specifically commissioned at the buyer's request after purchase, the customized component may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Non-Returnable Artworks

Certain acquisitions may not be eligible for discretionary return, including:

  • commissioned or bespoke artworks created specifically for the buyer;

  • artworks materially customized at the buyer's request;

  • artworks altered, restored, reframed or modified after delivery;

  • artworks returned without essential accompanying documentation;

  • artworks damaged after delivery through improper handling, installation or storage; and

  • any artwork clearly identified as non-returnable before purchase, where permitted by applicable law.

These exclusions do not affect any mandatory rights that may apply where an artwork is damaged, defective or materially different from its description.

Refunds

Once a returned artwork has been received and inspected, ArtsBouquet will confirm whether the return has been accepted.

If approved, the eligible refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Please allow reasonable processing time after the artwork has been received and inspected. Your bank, credit-card provider, or payment service may require additional time before the refund appears in your account.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, costs incurred for optional services requested by the buyer, customs duties, import taxes, specialist installation, customized framing or other personalized services may not be refundable.

Customs Duties and Taxes

International acquisitions may be subject to import duties, taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Where such amounts have been paid directly by the buyer to customs authorities, carriers or other third parties, ArtsBouquet generally cannot refund them. Buyers may need to contact the relevant authority directly regarding any potential reimbursement following a return.

Cancellations Before Shipment

If you wish to cancel an acquisition before it has been shipped, please contact ArtsBouquet as soon as possible.

Where shipment has not yet been arranged, and the artwork has not been customized or commissioned, we will make every reasonable effort to cancel the order and issue the appropriate refund.

Once an artwork has entered the shipping process, the standard return procedure may apply.

Authenticity Documentation

Where an artwork is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity, edition certificate, artist documentation or other provenance-related material, these documents form an integral part of the acquisition.

They must therefore accompany any returned artwork.

Please do not write on, alter, laminate, damage or otherwise modify authenticity or provenance documentation.
