Marta Moreu is a sculptor. In 1985, she began creating her sculptural work, although during the first few years she dedicated much time to teaching, her other passion, taking the opportunity to transmit her love of art to her students.

She has lived and developed her art all over the world (Barcelona, ​​Minneapolis, Düsseldorf, Paris, Madrid, Miami, Mexico). Her artistic work has been marked by all the experiences she has had in each place.

Her creations are born from the subconscious and her deepest feelings, with the intention of communicating and expressing in a practically autobiographical and sincere way, seeking authenticity. She is a figurative artist, but distortion, movement, weightlessness, and symbolism help her create her own imaginary world that escapes reality and approaches lyricism.

Throughout her artistic career, Moreu has used various materials in her work, including wood, stone, clay, and others, but bronze has always been her preferred material. The nobility, durability, and flexibility of bronze are among the qualities that led her to choose it. Bronze allows her to create forms that are impossible with any other material, enabling her to elongate, bend, and weld her figures into sometimes seemingly impossible positions of balance. The colors of her patinas and the rough texture she uses in her finishes are essential to giving her work greater expressive intensity and a certain drama without abandoning her austere and refined style. Despite the material's hardness and weight, her sculptures offer a sense of lightness and weightlessness.
